Innovative, modern designed homes of classical simplicity which complement the local character and natural assets of the surrounding area reinforcing a strong sense of place through individuality and distinctiveness complying with policies of the Neighbourhood Plan.
A Full Planning Application was submitted for Passivhaus Plus individually designed homes laid out in a gentle crescent and set within a rural parkland setting in Norfolk. These dwellings are of the highest standard of design and offered with self-build opportunities, if required.
These homes will allow for ultra-modern, contemporary, spacious, open plan living with large areas of external glazing to maximise the use of natural daylight. Passivhaus Plus certification will be sought for all properties.
Passivhaus is an internationally recognised standard for ultra-low energy homes, designed and built to very specific criteria, minimising the use of energy. The ‘Plus’ element of Passivhaus, comes from the addition of on-site generated power (for example from ground source heat or photovoltaics) to supply the primary energy requirements.
Although these units will be costlier to build, the running costs will be significantly reduced.
These will be iconic buildings leading the way in low carbon development.
